Opportunity/Occasion of engagement:
Wipro Earthian Awards

Client brief:
To create a Fan page and a Twitter handle for the Wipro Earthian Awards. The Fan page will serve as an online social media arm for all activities that Wipro would carry out in the run up to the Earthain awards. Social media platforms would serve as the learning ground for fans.

Strategy:
To create a character called ‘Prithvi’ who will be the official face/mascot communicating with the world on behalf of Wipro for the Earthian Awards. Prithvi will answer all questions related to the Awards, he will also answer scientific questions and deliver information about environment to children, to further drive engagement.

Solution: Communication for Prithvi will be carried out in four phases.

Phase 1: Declaration Phase – Where Prithvi will declare about Earthian Awards and guide people on participating in the awards and all related contests. He will also administer an open forum on the fan page where aspiring participants can ask for guidance.

Phase 2: Participation Phase – This phase will run from last date of participation to the last day of submission(what’s the difference?). Here Prithvi will help participants by giving them information on various environmental issues, via an Open Forum on the Fan Page. He can also answer questions only any information that participants would need to build their projects.

Phase 3 : Awards Phase – In this phase, Prithvi will declare the Earthian Awards and feature projects that have won the awards. He will also tell why they have won and the reason for their selection.

Phase 4: Post Awards –
This phase will continue till the next Earthian Awards. During the period Prithvi will deliver as much information as possible to fans through the Fan Page. In the process, the Fan Page should become a place where children can come and get their scientific as well as environment related queries solved.
