Our Story
Pinstorm was founded in 2004 by Mahesh Murthy on a single idea: that the agency model was broken beyond repair. Agencies billed for time. Clients paid for results. That misalignment created an industry that optimised for presentations, awards, and retainers — while the client's bottom line bled quietly.
The answer wasn't a better agency. It was a different kind of firm entirely. One that had skin in the game. One that paid for the media, built the creative, owned the funnel — and got paid only when the client grew.
"Skin in the game isn't a tagline. It's our entire business model."
Over 21 years we have worked across India, the Middle East, and Europe. We have taken equity stakes, revenue-share agreements, and performance contracts — and we have never once charged a retainer. Every dollar we invest is tracked to bottom-line revenue. Every campaign we build is measured against actual business outcomes.
Known through Mahesh's writing, his appearances on Shark Tank India, and his unfiltered LinkedIn commentary, Pinstorm has become the firm that boardrooms call when they're tired of being sold to. We don't pitch. We challenge assumptions. And we put our own capital on the line.
That's the only model that makes sense. It always has been.
